It is all about perspectives

Dear Readers,

Thank you for coming here!

Very often, something happens and we feel a particular emotion.

That emotion is triggered by change which is brought to us by that something that happened.

When talking about change, there is always “before” and “after”.

“Before” is our baseline if nothing had happened.

“After” is what things are now because that something did happen.

And of course, there is “how” we react to the change. The same change can trigger totally opposite reactions and emotions to different people.

Typically, to improve our emotional happiness, we are asked to examine our “how”, because that seems to be the only thing we can influence, while “Before” and “After” are facts. There is a book on this.

However, “Before” and “After” can also be “influenced”, because what they are is entirely in our perspectives.

In other words, it cannot be taken for granted that people will see “Before” and “After” as what they really are.

Hitler still commanded armies that did not exist to defend the red army at the door step of Berlin, up to his last moments.

As commoners, we probably make more mistakes in that regard.

So before we rush to change our “How”, do take a few moments to think over the “Before” and “After” to make sure that we see them as what they are.

“How” actually originates from our beliefs and mechanism how our brain works. If we force changes to our “How” based on wrong facts, we might cause damage to what we are as a person.

Just imagine someone who “really feels” happy upon something terrible. That is close to insanity.

And last but not least, it is ok to feel emotions, even the “bad” ones. Just be mindful when compelled to act by them.

In order to get something you never had, you have to do something you never did!

Dear Readers,

Thank you for coming here!

There exist different stages, in career, life and almost everything else, just like a tower with different levels.

And every level requires a different key to unlock.

For example,

Level 1 requires diligence;

Level 2 requires intelligence;

Level 3 requires endurance;

Every level requires a different key.

Every key has its unique use.

Used in the wrong place or time, it could hurt us, instead of helping us.

And it is so with good reasons, which are rooted deeply in the evolution.

Sadly, many people unlock the first level with diligence, and just assume that diligence is the master key — one key to unlock them all.

As a result, they are trapped in the first level forever, no matter how hard they try.

As a matter of fact, the harder they try, the more firmly trapped they are.

Some of them will believe by mistake that the reason why they cannot enter the next level is that people upstairs have locked the door from the other side.

Therefore, many of them complain and become cynical, but never think of trying a different key.

For us, do not become one of them.

We need to clearly remember and firmly believe that, as our stages change, some of the beliefs we hold dearly to our heart, whether inherited or picked up along the way, will become completely wrong and hurt us.

Every stage has its rules and we need to learn, experiment and adapt.

This world runs by its rules, which are deeply rooted in evolution. And it will not overly accommodate anyone.

Therefore, successful people are the ones with the strongest adaptability. They have no time to complain or have their feelings hurt.

Summary

The definition of “Insanity” is repeating the same things over and over again and expecting different outcomes.

Therefore, in order to get something we never had, we have to do something we never did!

Remember: every level requires a different key.

Also know: every time we notice how stupid and dumb we were, we have made significant progress!

Till next time!
